He was predeceased by: his parents, Abner Hall and Grace Kendall Hall; his brother Samuel "Sammy" Hall; his niece Rita Kay Krafft (Gibson); his brother-in-law Roy Calvin Brown; and his nephew Bernie Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Bowles (Chris) of Roanoke, Amanda Morris (Tommy) of Covington, Kevin Hall (Tracy) of Kentucky and Matthew Rivera (Cindy) of Florida; and his siblings, Margaret Brown of Clifton Forge and Richard Hall of Texas. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and host of friends.
