He was predeceased by: his mother Lettie Ann Holbrook Miller; and his siblings, Raymond Miller, Hazel Umberger and Francis Boyer. He is survived by: his father William Freel; his wife Sue B. Miller; his children, Karen Hodges (Craig) of Siloam, NC and William Miller (Kelly) of Damascus, VA; his grandchildren, Troy Yates (Kaitlyn) of Jonesville, NC and Hayden Miller of Damascus, VA; and his close friends, Ralph, Joann Comer of Greenville, SC, Nell Sutherland of Elk Creek, VA and Harry Smallwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (44 Dan Walters Dr, Independence, VA 24348). A masonic service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Services and Masonic Rites Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (44 Dan Walters Dr, Independence, VA 24348).
