He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leff and Lillian Anders Wooten; his wife Katherine Hash Wooten; his children, Elaine Wooten Roberts and Johnny Mack Lee Wooten; his great great grandchildren, Payton Lyrik Sawyers and Noah Thomas; and his sister Dorothy Wooten Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca (Ralph Catron) and Audrey (Danny Tolley); his grandchildren, Lynn Roberts of Independence, Denise Brown of Sparta, Amy Halsey of South Carolina, Emily Reedy of Galax, Dana, Dean Billings of Glade Valley and David Roberts of Independence, Virginia.; his great grandchildren, Brittney, Tyler Moore, Mikala, Otto Alley, Shawn Campbell, Luke, Brea Marsh, Mason Brown, Maleke Valentine, Tevin Long, Evan Reedy, Emma Richardson, Caleb Richardson, Elijah Richardson, Ethan Richardson and Ansley Thomas; and his son-in-law Darel Roberts of Independence, VA..
