He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dale Greathouse Sr. and Nora Nadine Greathouse (Jones); his siblings, Mike, Bev, Mary, Ralph and Dave; and his children, Gary and Tina.

He is survived by: his wife Rosetta; and his children, Steven, Adam, Melissa, Denise, Jeannette, Lisa (Mike), Davey and Ramona (Dave). He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
