We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2024, at the age of 86, Evelyn Thompson Castevens of Independence, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fawnie Thompson and Elsie Thompson; and her former husband William Byrd Stevenson. She is survived by: her sons, Allen Byrd Stevenson of Independence, VA and William Anthony Stevenson of Cripple Creek, VA; and her brother Hugh Thompson. She is also survived by one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
