With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Claudine Osborne Blevins of Independence, Virginia, who passed away on August 11, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Jackson and Eula Haga Osborne; her husband Jack Blevins; her siblings, Tom, Bob Osborne and Patsy Osborne; and her sons-in-law, Donald Cornett and Gill Wetmore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelby Wetmore of Independence, VA and Linda Cornett of Independence, VA; her stepson Jason Blevins of West Jefferson, NC; her sisters, Jean Reeves of Sparta, NC, Mary Trulock (Charles) of Glade Valley, NC, Nell Osborne of Independence, VA and Jane Gentry (Bobby) of Ennice, NC; and her grandchildren, Debi, Larry, Troy, Greg and Beverly. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
