It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Farris of Hurt, Virginia, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tommy Farris to pay them a last tribute.
As Tommy departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Tommy. Though Tommy may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ora Farris and Iza Simpson Farris; his wife Phyllis Gay Farris; and his brothers, Charlie Farris and Earnest Farris.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Beth Farris of Lynchburg and Jennifer Farris of Salem; his sisters, Doris Adams (Carl Wayne) of Java, Mary Oakes (Marvin) of Gretna and Frances Dalton of Gretna; and his grandchildren, Dillon Farris and Jaden Farris. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Inc. (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).
