It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Vaughan Wilson (Hurt, Virginia), who passed away on September 29, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Dodson Vaughan and Mary Jane Barbour Vaughan; her husband George Wallace Wilson; her son Richard Wayne Wilson; her grandson David Wayne Wilson; and her siblings, Charlie Vaughan, Russell Vaughan, Rawleigh Edward Vaughan, Tommie Vaughan, Howard Vaughan, Lillie Mae Dawson, Roxie Seamster, Lizzie Dawson, Martha Jane Dawson and Lula Dawson.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Nancy Hutcherson Wilson; her stepgrandchildren, Elton Blackstock (Sue), Michael Blackstock (Susan Mayberry) and Kim Moore (Bob Layne); and her great grandchildren, Zachary Wayne Wilson, LeNae Sage Wilson and Layton Thomas Wilson. She is also survived by granddaughter-in-law, Mari Weeks; and nieces and nephews.
