Payne, Jr. (Minister Demietre) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Ashley M. Shaw (Charles, II) of Huntington; his grandchildren, Stedman A. Payne, III, Robert A. Payne, Charles D. Shaw, III and Elias L. Shaw; and his mother-in-law Ruth Tardy of Hurt. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
