It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Studdard Short Saye (Hurt, Virginia), born in Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on August 15, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcom Webster Studdard and Nellie Montgomery Studdard; her former husband Aubrey J. Short; her husband Paul D. Saye; her sister Betty Courington; her grandson Jason Short; and her brother-in-law Albert Wayne Courington.
She is survived by: her son Mike Short (Kathy) of Hurt; her grandson Stuart Short; her great grandchild Trevor Short (Brandy); her great great grandchild Bailey Grace Short; her nephews, David Courington (Susan) and Billy Courington (Mary); and also Chuck Saye (Janeen). She is also survived by four children and ten grandchildren.
