She was predeceased by: her parent James Andrew Gibson; her husband David "Billy" Earnest Dalton, Jr.; her daughter Fayola Dalton Talbott; and her brothers, Andrew Gibson, Herbert Gibson, Acie Gibson, Noel Gibson, Harry Gibson, Charlie Gibson and Wilbur "Tiny" Gibson.
She is survived by: her parent Rosa Belle Short Gibson; her sons, Haywood Dalton (Barbara) of Moneta and Gerald Dalton (Bonnie) of Pittsville; her son-in-law Sidney Talbott of Hurt; her grandchildren, Jill Dalton, Leslie Runyon, Debbie Faris, Brian Dalton and April Birchfield; her daughter-in-law Gerald Dalton; and also Bonnie Dalton. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
