She was predeceased by: her parents, James Earl Harrison and Rosa Lee Birdsong Mumford; her husband James "Jimmy" Gibson; and her siblings, Edwin "Butch" Birdsong, Robert "Bobby" Birdsong, James "Spanky" Spangler and Mary Elizabeth "Nita" Birdsong.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Birdsong of Hurt; and her sisters, Rose "Peanut" Huff (Dave) of California, Loretta Bailess (Carroll) of Hurt and Delores Pulliam (Gary) of Roanoke Rapids, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
