He was predeceased by: his parent Roystain Merriman Arthur, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Irene Arthur; his wife Shelvia Foster Arthur; his sons, Joseph Merriman Arthur, Jr. of Hurt, John Andrew Arthur and Cindy of Hurt; his brother Stephen Arthur of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Jesse Arthur, Chasity Logwood and Angel Marie Logwood; his great grandchild Conor Arthur; and his close friend Martha.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to New Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund in care of Kay Scruggs, 3185 Grit Road, Hurt, VA 24563 or to your favorite charity.
