She was predeceased by: her father Elbert Weatherford; and her brother Charles Weatherford. She is survived by: her mother Alma Strange Weatherford of Bachelor; her husband Bob N. Shelton; her grandchildren, Ryan Shelton (Cammie), Kara Shelton Terry (Tommy) and Zachary Shelton (Alicia); her great grandchildren, Rorie Shelton, Abigail Terry, Piper Terry and Logan Shelton; her sister Judy Weatherford Soyars (Phil); and her sister-in-law Aurelia Gibson (Bob). She is also survived by her mother, husband, and children.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Centra Hospice, 2097 Langhorne Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24501.
