She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Albert Brumfield and Ruth Vasser Brumfield; her spouse Addison "Scrap" Ward; her son Donald Dean Ward, Sr. (Wanda); her grandson Donnie Ward; and also, Avis Brumfield, Edgar "San" Brumfield, Hazel Dolan, Morris Dalton, Joyce "Fay" Dalton and Marvin Brumfield.
She is survived by: her children, Kyle Ward (Judy) of Forest, Roger Ward (Donna) of Hickory, NC, Susie Newman (Howard) of Hurt and Glenda Queener (Rob) of Hurt; her sister Eliza Adams of Gretna; and her grandchildren, Melissa Williams, Kelly Daniel (Wes), Addison Ward (Kim), Bridgett Moon (Patrick), Maricia Bradner, Jodie Ward, Howard Newman Jr., Michelle McNelley, Sarah Thorn (Doug), Erin Johnston (Chris) and Tiffany Giles (Joey).
