Though George may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Raymond Talbott and Thelma Jacobs Talbott; and his sister Naomi Overstreet. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Gilliam Talbott; his children, George Oliver Talbott, Jr. (Denise) of Hurt, Joanne Propst (Jake) of Florida, Lisa Loving (Frank) of Charles City and Kathy Ashby (Tim) of Hurt; and his brother Sidney Talbott of Hurt. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (509 Prospect Rd, Hurt, VA 24563). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
