He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Anderson Chumley, Sr. and Martha East Chumley; and his siblings, Sonny Chumley, Abe Chumley, Irene Howell, Coretta Chumley, Elma Davis and Betty Chumley.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Dalton Chumley; his stepdaughters, Sue Myers of Gretna, Wanda Rice of Hurt and Janet Doss (Bobby) of Gretna; and his sister Nancy Boone of Hurt. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
