He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Murphy Brumfield; his children, Troy Brumfield (Beth) of Brookneal and Joan Smith of Gretna; his sisters, Gladys Ward of Hurt and Eliza Adams of Gretna; and his grandchildren, Heather Boyles (David), Kelly Garbee (Adam), Todd Brumfield (Katie) and Dustin Brumfield. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
