He is survived by: his parents, Troy Edward Layne (Misty Arnold) of Hurt and Kelly Walden of Gretna; his grandparents, James "Eddie", Deborah Layne of Hurt, Michael and Kathy Shriver of Gretna; his sister Kayla Layne of Gretna; and his nephew Jaxson Burns. He is also survived by ten cousins.
