It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Elaine Arnold of Hurt, Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank D. Mattox and Ilene Beatrice Miller Mattox; and her sisters, Ella Martin, Margaret King and Shirley King.
She is survived by: her husband Rodger Arnold; her children, Johnny Arnold (Chrissy) of Forest, Tracy Mattox (Misty) of Hurt, Rodger Berry Arnold (Brandy) of Altavista, Warren Mattox (Alice) of Hurt and Tammy Mattox (Randall Wells) of Boonsboro; and her siblings, Slick Mattox of Hurt, Howard Mattox of Hurt, Lois Heater (Ben) of Altavista, Kathy Mann (Russell) of Chatham and Mary Roach (Jeff) of Hurt. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
