He was predeceased by: his parents, Nannie Susan Ashwell Goode and Marion Goode. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Turner Goode; his son Richard Vernon Goode, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Tracy Blankenship Goode; and his grandchildren, Samuel Thomas Goode and Rachel Lynn Goode.
