He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Jeter Woodford and Verna Lee Laughon Woodford; and his sisters, Jean Allison and Lois Anne. He is survived by: his wife Esther Overstreet Woodford; his daughter Laura Lee Wood; his son-in-law Wesley Wood; his grandchildren, Sarah, Olivia, Bailey, Bethanney, Kendall, Nick, Hayden, Dalton and Kat; and his great grandchild Brody.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mentow Baptist Church (3282 Mentow Dr, Huddleston, VA 24104). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Mentow Baptist Church Cemetery (3282 Mentow Dr, Huddleston, VA 24104).
