He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Harvey Nichols and Lillian Aliff Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Wildman Nichols; his sons, Mark Nichols and Jason Nichols (Deeanna); his grandchildren, Lucas Ray, Matthew Elisha, Noah Arthur Nichols and Mackenzie R. Nichols; and his brother Samuel Nichols.
