He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmitt Godsey and Nancy Godsey of Lynchburg; and his aunt Edith Garner. He is survived by: his siblings, William E. Godsey (Maureen), Donna Driskill (Barry), Melody Albert (Paul) and Kay Brownsword (Gene); and his nieces and nephews, Jacob, Landon Rothgeb, Tommy, Daniel, James Albert, Jodie Griffin, Christie Miller, Alison Pettit, Diane Graham and Ashley Reynolds. He is also survived by seventeen great-nieces and nephews.
