He was predeceased by: his brothers, Melvin, Jerry and Sidney Ray Shirley. He is survived by: his daughters, Diana F. Humphreys (Darrell) of Stuarts Draft and Nancy L. Shrewsbury (Jay) of Kents Store; his siblings, Butch Shirley, Ronnie Shirley (Ann) of Lyndhurst, Paul Shirley of Timberville, Eddie Shirley (Sandra) of Lyndhurst, Bruce Shirley of Stuarts Draft, Steve Shirley of Hopewell, Peggy Monroe, Doris Bailey (Lonnie) of Lyndhurst, Bonnie Sue Campbell of Stuarts Draft and Mary Lou Jones of Lynchburg; and his grandchildren, Dallas Humphreys, Christy Woodson (Jermaine), Justin Shrewsbury (Carrie), Caitlin Humphreys and Zachary Burrows (Kayla). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
