With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Leonard Nelson Jr. (Hot Springs, Virginia), born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 18, 2019 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Leonard Nelson, Sr. and Mammie Evelyn Tyree Nelson; and his daughters, Janice Nelson and Joanie Bogan. He is survived by: his wife Ella Lenora Williams Nelson; his son James "Jamie" Nelson; and his brothers, Curtis Nelson (Donna) of Covington and Kenneth Nelson (Nancy) of Craigsville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
