He is survived by: his wife Martha Anne Ailstock Allen; his sons, James Lewis Allen (Ann Marie) and Russell Lee Allen (Patricia Trout); his granddaughters, Callie Allen (Casey) and Amber Nicole Allen (Michael Scott Ryder); his great grandchildren, Aria Lynn Cale and Killian Allen Cale; his aunt Cora Graham; and his sisters, Virginia Williamson and Irene Crews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
