He is survived by: his mother Janice Mae Collins Purnell of Horntown, VA; his wife Mary Purnell; his father-in-law John Bell of New Church, VA; his children, Tyneisha Purnell, Michelle Bell of New Church, VA, Maurice Purnell, Jr. of Norfolk, VA, Maurkice Purnell of Winchester, VA and Akeem Bell; his grandchildren, Jamai, Cyan, Daniel and Malani; his siblings, Dawn Holden of Makemie Park, VA, Angel Fooks (Derrick) of Pocomoke, MD, Nakechia Brockington of Philadelphia, PA, Marvin Purnell (Vanessa) of New Church, VA, Michael Marshall (Dana) of New Castle, DE, Leroy Townsend (Lonzie) of New Church, VA, Patrick Holden of Nelsonia, VA and Dalton Milbourne (Courtney) of Pittsburgh, PA; and his brothers-in-law, Jonathan Bell of Baltimore, MD and Andre Bell of Salisbury, MD.
