It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joshua I. P. Arrington of Hopewell, Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 18, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eddie O. and Linda Thigpen; his great-grandparents, Collin M. Smith, Sr., Ruth E. Smith and Ernestine Webb; his great-great-grandparent Helen Brewer; his aunt Pamela Clay; and his great-aunts, Marie Arrington and Shelia Reynolds.
He is survived by: his parent Penny Thigpen; his brothers, Monte "Chris" Hieke of Raleigh, NC, Tyler M. Thigpen of Hopewell, VA, Armandre Soloman of Raleigh, NC, Micah Hieke of Raleigh, NC and Phoniex Hieke of Raleigh, NC; his great-grandparent James Webb, Jr.; his aunt Merlinda Martin (Eric) of Florida; his great-aunt Brinda Trotter (Edward); his uncle Eddie Thigpen IV (Janika); his great-uncles, Collin M. Smith II (Jean) of Baltimore, MD and Horace Smith (Deborah) of Scotland Neck, NC; his cousins, Michele Craighead, Rochele Nelson, Colleen Smith, Clinton Smith, Jr., Amira Monroe, Gregory Coleman, Tyree Smith, Avian Coleman, Timora K. Smith, Isaiah Craighead, Camille Nelson, Jabez Nelson, Nickyla, Zierrah, Alizah, E'Shaundie Lakia, Eddie Ocie V and Justus Edison; and his friend Armon "Tahjai" Wright.
