He was predeceased by: his parents, Rennie Shackelford and Benjamin North Mason; and his brother Benjamin North Mason, Jr. (Allene). He is survived by: his wife Carole Preddy Mason; his sons, Deane Lipscomb (Maggie) and Scott Lipscomb (Wendy); his grandsons, Travis and Garrett Lipscomb; and his brothers-in-law, James Donald Preddy (Lynn) and Gregory Preddy.
