He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Wooden-Woods and Horace Wooden; his former wife Martha Trower Wooden; and his siblings, Vernice Pannell and Donald Wooden.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Wooden; his children, Beatrice Wooden-Baker, George Wooden, Jr., Charlene Booker (Larry), Marshall Wooden (Julia) and Vernice Wooden Pierce (James); his grandchildren, Sandra Wooden Brown (Felton, Jr.), Sedrick Baker, Daejon Keels, Charis Booker, Leslie Baker, Lauren Booker, Shanice Pierce, Paris Brown and Caleb Booker; his great grandchildren, Skylar Baker and Sedrick Baker; his sister Martha Dildy; his aunt Carlene Wooden; his stepchildren, Tammy King (Andre) and Dwayne King; his siblings-in-law, Clarice Robinson, Molly Diggs, William Wyatt (Barbara) and James Wyatt; and his stepchildren, McKinzie Branch, Serenity Branch, Donald King and Kahdjah King. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
