She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert McKinley and Leah Catherine Fuller Miller; her husband Maven Howard Compton; her children, Maven McKinley Compton, Terry Lee Harris and Lois Ann Hughes; and her siblings, Gertrude Peck, Myrtle Stump, Flora Helton, Pauline Marshall, James Miller, Jack Miller and Russell Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Marie Helton of Honaker, Pearl Nadine Hess of Honaker, Shirley Compton of Honaker, Sylvia Lester (Clinton) of Big Rock, Larry Compton of North Carolina and James Darrel Compton (Mary) of Honaker; her sisters, Mary Louise Thompson of Honaker and Gedie Wood of Bluefield; and her daughter Barbara Baldwin. She is also survived by thirty-eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
