She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Taylor and Alice Taylor; her husband Harry "Budge" Rutherford, Jr.; her daughter Michelle Yvonne Rutherford; her siblings, Garland Taylor (Gaye), Dallas Taylor (Freda) and Ruth Ann Stillwell; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Compton (Delano), Kaye Rutherford and Bobby Blankenship.
She is survived by: her daughter Marla Shortt (Dennis "Dink"); her sisters, Lucy Smith and Louise Blankenship; and her siblings-in-law, Dickie Stillwell, William Rutherford and Midge Jones (Randel). She is also survived by three grandchildren.
