He is survived by: his son Ryan Ward of Richlands; his grandchildren, Morgan Ward, Elyana Ward and Isaiah Ward; his siblings, Janie Shelton, Darlene Whited, Mary Thomas, Kathy Casey, Patty Dye and Jack Ward; and his aunt Sally Breedlove. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
