She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Hopson and Cora Ferrell Hopson; her husband David Daniel Helton; and her siblings, Melvin Hopson, Arlin Hopson and Quinie Hopson.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Kay Musick (George) of Rowe, Virginia; her grandsons, Marvin Daniel Musick (Deb) of Honaker and Chester Ray Musick (Candice) of Lebanon, Virginia; her nephew Marshall Hopson of Mason, Ohio; and her close friends, Fay Compton, Betty Sue Hess, Richard Helton, Zachary Helton and Edna.
