She was predeceased by: her father Mont Elden; her former husband Luther Ray; her husband Luther Dotson; her son-in-law Carl Wayne Dorton; and her siblings, Justin Jones "Doug" McGlothlin, Ritter Mack McGlothlin, Velvie Marie Shortridge, Elsie Mae Harris and Mary Irene Hess.
She is survived by: her children, David Allen (Henrietta Ray) and Patricia Ellen "Patty" Dorton; her grandchildren, Amanda Ellen Dorton of Vansant and Byron Joseph (Jennifer Renea Dorton); and her sister Ora Mattie Meadows of Rowe, Virginia.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
