She was predeceased by: her parents, Hallie Earl and Minnie Ellen Miller Hubbard; her sons, Kyle Hess, Jr. and Garry Hess; her son-in-law Wayne Ratliff; and her siblings, Yulas, Tivis, Jerry, Ronnie Fearl Hubbard, Vertella Clark and Marie "Bunny" Richardson.
She is survived by: her husband Kyle "Monk" Hess; her children, Darrell Hess (Vickie) of Blackford, Virginia, Diana Richardson (Avery "Sandy") of Richlands, Lisha Hart (Mike) of Honaker, Virginia and Jennifer Ratliff of Honaker, Virginia; and her siblings, Toby Hubbard, Kirby Hubbard and Charlotte Glenda Hubbard. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
