He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Sykes; his sons, Travis Sykes of Abingdon and Wesley Sykes (Amanda) of Lebanon, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kaylee Sykes and Blake Sykes; his siblings, Beverly Sykes (Carrol), Lenora Vanover (Coy), Connie Rose and Henrietta Rose; and his pet Sadie.
