She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Jay Clark and Louisia Johnson Clark; her husband Edward Childress; and her siblings, Lester Clark, Jackie Clark, Mason Owens, Trula Thomas and Arbutus Clark.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Lester (Jerry Lester) of Honaker, Virginia and Brenda Pauley (Gary) of Honaker, Virginia; her grandchildren, Vanessya Herbert and Donovan Meadows (Amy); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Herbert, Dalton Meadows and Jay Harrison.
