He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Thomas and Trula Mae Clark Thomas; his wife Judy Rosenbalm Thomas; his siblings, Ronnie "Chisel" Thomas, Teresa Thomas and Judy Deel; his nephew Thomas; his sister-in-law Crystal Thomas; and his aunts, Lola Gay Childress and Juanita Dye.
He is survived by: his son Terry Thomas; his grandchildren, Noah Thomas (Taylor DeWitt) and Amber Keene of Honaker, Virginia; his great grandchildren, Kaison Lane Casey, Alaya Keene and Violet Keene; his siblings, Connie Lloyd (Steve) of Honaker, Virginia, Ricky Thomas of Honaker, Virginia and Dallas Thomas of Honaker, Virginia; his aunt Myrtle Stiltner; and his close friend Doug Shepherd.
