He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Everett and Beulah Hess Helton; his wife Flora C. Miller Helton; his children, Wanda Helton, Betty Helton, Ronnie Helton and Daniel Helton; and his siblings, Dewey Helton, Earnest Helton, Arnold Helton, Rosie Helton, Oakley Helton and Gladys Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Ollie Helton of Little Prater, Geneva Justus (Jim) of Rowe, Joyce Young of Dismal, Roberta Young (Mike) of Hurley, Harvey Helton (Tammy) of Fletcher's Ridge and Jeffrey Helton (Angela) of Bee, Virginia; and his sisters, Ruby Miller (Edward) of Honaker, Mary Jane Compton of Honaker, Dorothy Dye of Swords Creek and Hazel Daw of Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
