She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Hess and Ruthie James Hess; her brother Orbin Nelson Hess; and her in-laws, Clyde and Emma Lambert.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Lambert; her children, James Lambert (Vickie) of Council, Melda Cook (Tim) of Honaker and Rebecca Harris (David) of Glade Spring; her grandsons, Dwayne Harris (Tina) of Marion, Nicolas Cook (Jenn) and Eric Cook of St. Paul; her great grandchildren, Jase Harris, Landon McFarlane, Austin Crigger (Catherine), Griffin and Letty; her great great grandchildren, Kyrin, Aunalyse and Maren; and her siblings, Marie Compton of Council, Sue Keene of Council, Audrey Barton (Danny) of Council, Geneva Bailey of Oakwood and Emory Hess (Betty) of Council. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
