He is survived by: his parents, Rebecca Johnson (Steven Hess) of Hickory and Donald "Don" Deel; his children, Lilliam Deel, Elijah Deel, Preston Deel and Brantley Deel; his siblings, Casey Deel (Shelby Lane) of Morganton and Kemiaka Deel (Bradley Jordan) of Council; and his niece Dixie Jordan. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
