He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Basil and Ella Mae Lester Helbert; his siblings, Dixie Carol Helbert, Wanda Ramirez, Larry Helbert, Gary Helbert, James Helbert, Johnny Helbert, Randy Helbert and Gene Helbert; and his grandparents, Robert, Carrie Blankenship Lester, John and Mary Carter Helbert.
He is survived by: his wife Delphia Jean Helbert; his sons, Samuel Preston Helbert (Whitney) of Honaker and Billy Edward Helbert, Jr. of Delaware, Ohio; his siblings, Howard Helbert (Barbara) of Honaker and Carrie Casey (Sonny) of Cedar Bluff; his grandchildren, Dixie Breann Helbert, Gunner Ames Helbert and Callie Jo Helbert; and his brother-in-law Bobby Musick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
