With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Leon Custer of Hinton, Virginia, who passed away on January 30, 2021 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Leon Custer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey William and Zona Dare Turner Custer of Virginia; and his siblings, Turner Udell Custer and Elaine Custer Harter Zirkle. He is survived by: his wife Janet Marie Pitsenbarger; his daughters, Kathy Custer of Rockingham and Amy Custer McAvoy (Tim) of Hinton; and his grandchildren, Tyler McAvoy, Rebecca Claytor and Caitlin McAvoy.
Due to the current COVID restrictions, the family will not be present. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are required.
