He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Patrick, and Peggy Fleenor Patrick, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Karen Moore Patrick; his children, John David Patrick, Amy Millsaps (Eddie) and Julie Moomaw; and his grandchildren, Austin Millsaps, Chloe Sword and Logan Moomaw.
