With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman Dwight Gardner of Hiltons, Virginia, born in New Castle, Virginia, who passed away on February 5, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Stancell and Alice Richards Gardner; and his nephew Roger Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Margie Harper Gardner; his daughter Sherry Hobbs (Tony); his son-in-law John Hughes; his son Adam Gardner (Misty); his grandchildren, Wesley Hughes (Megan), Samantha Hobbs, Nicole Hobbs, Tyler Gardner, Hannah Gardner, Kaycie Gardner and Ashley Gardner; his great grandchildren, Bryson Hughes and Landon Hughes (Coming); and his siblings, Karen Austin (Michael), Morris Gardner and Jay Gardner (Carrie).
