Elsie Maddux Derting Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Maddux Derting of Hiltons, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Flanders Hobbs Maddux and Lona McNutt Maddux; her husband Homer Leo Derting; and her siblings, Uva Maddux, Juanita Bays, Clara Faye Wood, Sue Wilson, Leonard, Earl and Ralph Maddux.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Summers (Jerry) of Kingsport, TN, Jill Sauceman (Fred) of Johnson City, TN and Janice Derting of Kingsport, TN; her grandsons, Jason Summers (Cathy) of Auburn, AL and Justin Summers (Kate) of Knoxville, TN; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathan Summers of Auburn, AL and Claire Summers of Knoxville, TN.; and also, Linda Cox, Dennis Templeton and Madge Gilliam.
