He was predeceased by: his parents, W. M. Fleenor and Grace Fleenor; his wife Dolly Thomas Fleenor; his daughter Dora Fleenor; his brother Edsel Scott Fleenor; and his daughter-in-law Patricia Stevens Fleenor.
He is survived by: his close friend Janis Hobbs; his children, Donna Woodson (David Cecil) and Dan Donald Fleenor, Jr. (Shelia Blalock); his grandsons, Dan D. Fleenor III (Amber Deary) and Daniel Dustin Fleenor (Kim); his great grandchildren, Kady Fleenor, Brimberly Fleenor and Dustin Fleenor, Jr.; his sister Peggy Jenkins; and his uncle Calvin Derting. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
