She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Freddie Otto and Lou Zenna Taylor Alley; her husband Billy Ray Melton, Sr. of Hillsville, Virginia; her children, Amanda (James Whittington), Jennifer Melton of Galax, Virginia, Billy Ray Melton, Jr. (Jessica) and Bobby Ray Melton of Galax, Virginia; her sister Thelma Hall of Galax, Virginia; her grandchildren, Sabrina Dawn Melton, Helan Marie Melton, Macen Ray Anderson, Brynn Lovette Melton, Bryleigh Lynn Melton, Bryce Andrew Melton, Jasmyn Renee Whittington, Cameron James Whittington and Alexia Nikohl Whittington; and her close friend Shirley Whittington. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
